Abundance is in the present moment. All our needs, even those we are not aware of are constantly being met in perfect time. Fortunately, the same cannot be said for our wants. Many times, we don’t know what’s best for us. There may be people or things we want that are not ideal for the path we walk, and if we could see ahead of time, we would probably reconsider. Since we don’t know the future, we should be cautious about our requests. “Ask and you shall receive”, doesn’t refer to material things per se, but rather to spiritual gifts like clarity, peace, joy, positivity, contentment, and other assets that enrich our inner world.

A wealthy inner world signals that we are more likely to bounce back from whatever life gives us. When we are okay with everything, everything will be okay. Thus, we should guard our intangible assets the same way we guard our material ones. For instance, we could limit the consumption of information that leads to unnecessary comparison. And avoid spaces where there is regular unequal energy exchange. Budgeting our energy, even in abundance, helps us keep track of what comes in and out of our energy field. There are people we happily invest in, but it’s good to know when to save, and let life be the wonderful teacher it is.

It is better to define what success means to us. Naturally, this will look different because we are unique. Designing and living the life we want requires strength, especially when our choices are not considered the norm. Society will constantly talk, and the message will always be loud and clear. It may be easier to concede, but at what cost. Is it worth the misery we could sentence ourselves to, simply to listen to people who haven’t walked a day in our shoes. Afterall, only we know the full details of our lives. The parts we can and can’t reveal. In honour of the path we walk, perhaps we can mute the noise and focus on our own voice. There are many ways to live life, and we can live many in one lifetime.
