“The invisible prison”
There are laws that rule the universe. One of which maintains a key to life, balance. It is said that too much of anything is not ideal, and so is too little. A philosopher once said that in order for the leaves of a tree to reach the heights of heaven, the roots must reach into the depths of hell. It’s the time we spend in hell that teaches us endurance. Pain is a language. It’s telling us something we need to know. Being in necessary or unnecessary pain is definitely not a pleasant experience. But the situation we feel is breaking us is also building character. Fire purifies and refines.
For every action there is a reaction. We reap what we sow. No matter our intention or lack of knowledge. Human law may not be completely fair and just, but spiritual law is. Karma shows up in different ways. One’s hell could be another’s heaven, and vice versa. It’s the pain inflicted that will return in equal measure. Some evade human penalties, but when judged and sentenced by the court of spiritual law, evasion is not possible. Admittedly, there is honour in serving time. The invisible prison aids reflection and true change. Most importantly, it enables one to have a light conscience and live a life free from guilt.
We all make interpersonal mistakes, and we should be held accountable, but it doesn’t mean we ought to pay the price forever. There’s a time for consequences and a time to breathe. When someone wants us locked up forever, we must simply take the chains off and be free. Especially when revenge is factored in. Afterall, two wrongs don’t make a right. Ironically, a person who was a lesson in the past can be a blessing in the future. We can play multiple roles or characters in another’s life story.
Some believe evil is evil, and others believe there are levels to it. What really matters is the remembrance that we all are capable of some form of evil. Good people do bad things, bad people do good things, and some fall right in the middle. When we go higher or deeper into consciousness, we release duality and fall into oneness. In this state, it is easier to acknowledge everyone is worthy of redemption. Perhaps every human can be rehabilitated . . . however long it takes.
